Old Boys Organize Reception For FCT Retired, Acting Chief Judge Colleagues In Katsina 

The Old Boys class of 1972 to 1976 of the Government Secondary School Katsina has organized a reception in honor of two of their classmates, Retired Chief Judge Justice Ishaq Usman and also the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Justice Salisu Garba.

The reception was organized by one of their classmates, Architect Kabir Faskari who is also the National President of All Farmers Association of Nigeria.

While making his remarks, the Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari stressed the need for various School Old Boys Associations to be paying regular visits to their respective Schools to serve as moral booster to Pupils and Students.

Governor Aminu Masari also admonished wealthy individuals to be remembering their former Schools as well as their immediate Communities for assistance.

In his remarks, Retired Justice Ishaq Bello went down memory lane on how being a member of the School Debate Club motivated him into choosing Law as his future career after playing a part in Ola Rotimi’s ” The Incorruptible Judge”.

Justice Ishaq Bello Sa’id they have concluded arrangements on how to come back to the the former Government Secondary School Katsina which is now renamed Dikko Collage with the intent of paying back to the School.

Also Speaking, the Chief Judge of Katsina state Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar laments on the current crops of Pupils and Students whom according to him they are lacking good training and discipline in comparisons to what was obtained some years back.

According to the Katsina state Chief Judge, the Present generation of Students may be weak Leaders in future because according to him they are lacking characteristics that shaped individuals to become committed, selfless, and forward looking Leaders.

On his part, the Organiser of the Reception Kabir Ibrahim who is the National President of All Farmers Association of Nigeria AFAN, who was said to be the Smallest amongst the 1972 to 1976 said one of essence of bringing members of the set together once again, and also to fashion out ways of forming a sustainable plans on how members of the Alma mater could be assisted.
