Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa (JMA), a Northern women association, has announced the death of its treasurer Hajiya Lami Abba in a road accident on the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
JMA President Rabi Saulawa, in a terse statement on Friday, said “The death of Haj Lami Abba our treasurer has been announced. She died in a car accident on Kaduna-Abuja road today.
“May Allah forgive her n grant her Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen. Condolences to all of us Matan Arewa.”
Dateline Nigeria reports that Lami Abba, from Katsina State, was elected the treasurer of JMA in December 2019.
Late Lami Abba was a former principal, directors schools Dutsinma and Daura, and worked with JAMB.
