Buhari Appoints Justice Salisu Garba From Katsina As FCT Ag Chief Judge
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Hon. Justice Salisu Garba as the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Justice Salisu Garba hails from Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
This is following the retirement of Hon. Justice Ishaq Bello as the Court’s Chief Judge.
This was disclosed to TheNigerialawyer by the Director of Information of the National Judicial Council, Mr. Soji Oye, Esq, Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the swearing-in of the new Acting Chief Judge, Justice Salisu has been scheduled to hold by 2:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, 6th January, 2020 by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice I.T Muhammad, CFR.
Hon. Justice S. Garba hails from Malumfashi Local Gov’t Area of Katsina State. He was called to Bar in 1984 and completed his National Youth Service the following year.
He was inactive law practice between 1985 and 1989, then was appointed as a magistrate in the FCT High Court, Abuja in 1989.
He became the Chief Registrar of FCT High Court, Abuja in 1997 then was appointed as a Judge in the FCT High Court, Abuja in 1998. He is married with children and his hobbies include traveling.
