Two bandits’ informants arrested in Katsina
Two men, Sa’adu Haruna and Musa Ibrahim, are now in Katsina police net following bandits’ attack on Dantankari village, Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State where three persons were killed and four others abducted, Punch reports.
The two suspects, who are 40-year-old each, were alleged to be informants for the bandits.
Police sources revealed that the two men were heard discussing at a tea joint that some bandits would attack the village on December 27, 2020 and kidnap one Alhaji Dalhatu Namahangi.
The sources added that true to the discussion, bandits attacked the town on that day and abducted Alhaji Namahangi, while his whereabouts remained unknown as of press time on Monday.
Three persons were also killed while five people were kidnapped during the attack.
The Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, Gambo Isah, confirmed the development.
Isah revealed that Haruna had during interrogation confessed to have committed the offence.
