Katsina PDP suspend ex-PTDF boss, Darma for one month
The Katsina State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Wakilin Kudu ward has suspended one of its founding member and former PTDF boss, Engineer Muttaqa Rabe Darma from the party for a period of one month.
The suspension notice was contained in letter signed by the chairman of the Wakilin Kudu ward of the party, Malam Abba Ila Abba Sule and the executive members of the ward.
In the letter, the party alleged that it suspended Darma due to anti party activities and perpetual breach of the party’s constitution.
The letter addressed to the affected person seen by Katsina Post reads in part: “We the undersigned members of the Executive Committee of the PDP of Wakilin Kudu I in Katsina Local Government in exercising our party’s constitutional responsibility (Section S7 (3) hereby resolved to Suspend you from the Party for a period of one month
“Your suspension is as a result of anti-party activities and perpetual breach of Section 58 (a, b, 1, h, j and L) of the party’s constitution (2017 as amended).”
It could be recalled that a splinter group of the party known as “PDP A Gyara” has addressed a press conference earlier on Saturday in Katsina were they called for the constitution of caretaker committee of the party in state.
