The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has donated food items, other commodities to orphanage in Katsina.
Dr Abubakar Dahiru, the State’s chairman of NMA, made the donation when he led the execution of the Association to the orphanage, as part of activities to mark 2020 annual Physicians Week of the association.
Dr. Abubakar said that the gesture is part of Corporate Social Responsibility of the association.
He said: “This is not the first time we are doing this, we have been doing it over the years and we will be here often to show our support including offering free medical care, as a way of encouraging you to take good care of the children.
“We commend your efforts and we want you to keep it up.”
Items donated include; 5 cartons of indomie, 21 pairs slippers, Toothbrushes and toothpaste, packs of soaps, sanitary pads, diapers, drinks, cheese among others.
