Help us! Group of UMYUK unemployed 1st class graduates writes to Gov Masari

A group of yet to be employed first class graduates from Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University, Katsina have written a heart-touching letter to the chief visitor of the university and the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari to intervene in their issue.

The group, comprising of no fewer than 36 members in a letter addressed to the Governor and seen by Katsina Post, said:

“With all sense of humility and respect, we wish to write this letter to you in order to express our plight as First Class graduates of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University. We sincerely hope that this letter finds you well.

“We have the desire to selflessly contribute our quota to the development of education in Katsina, but unfortunately, all our efforts to secure lecturing job proved futile over the years despite the convincing fact that we graduated with good grades.

“We submitted our documents to the school authority after our compulsory National Service, but unfortunately we couldn’t receive any positive feedback from the former school administration. The appointment of the new Vice Chancellor has resuscitated our hope as he ordered us to apply for immediate absorption.

“Some of us that have the little means to pursue their postgraduate degree have since enrolled for it; those who couldn’t afford it are currently at stake. Even some of us who enrolled for their postgraduate degree are at risk of dropping out due to financial problems.

“At this juncture, we candidly solicit for your help as the chief visitor of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University. We believe in your administration’s tireless effort of reviving the education sector of the state, and we are committed to contributing our quota as well. By working in the state, we would be able to give back in return as much as we can.

“We wish to affirm our unalloyed support and loyalty to you.

” While anticipating for your positive response, please, accept the assurances of our highest regard”, they concluded.
