SON Certifies Rahusa Bread, Issues MANCAP Certificate
The Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) on Wednesday, September 9th 2020, presented the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certification to Katsina-based bakery, Rahusa bread.
The Chairman of Rahusa Bread, Alhaji Sirajo Abbas, received the MANCAP certificate presented by the Managing Director of Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON, Katsina state office, Engr. Babangida Kankara.
Delivering his Keynote Address, Engr. Babangida Kankara said that the award certificate to Rahusa bread shows that the bakery went through rigorous process of inspections and quality assurance, also demonstrated compliance to the relevant product standards and is providing product that meets consumer expectations.
Stating further, he said “with the award of MANCAP’s certificate to Rahusa Bread is in effect saying that Rahusa bread is fit to be used in Katsina, Nigeria and beyond.
Chairman Rahusa Bakery, Alhaji Sirajo Abbas gave the assurance that Rahusa bakery will continue to employ best practices in production for effective consumer satisfaction.
“I wish to express gratitude to our customers, business partners, and other stakeholders for making this possible,” He said
The SON’s mission is to promote consumer confidence and global competitiveness of Made-in-Nigeria products and services through Standardization and Quality Assurance. SON established the Mandatory product certification scheme (MANCAP) to ensure that locally manufactured products provide the required degree of satisfaction to consumers through compliance with applicable standards and government policies on standardization and conformity assessment.
