The Katsina State Governor, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari has reviewed the law banning the usage of motorcycles in Katsina State from 7pm to 11pm, Katsina Post learned.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Abdulhadi Ahmad Bawa confirmed this in a statement he published on his personal Facebook account timeline.
According to him, the Governor signed the relaxation order at 6:30pm on Tuesday, 1st September, 2020 at Government House.
Recall that Katsina Post earlier reported that the Governor relaxed the banning on the usage of motorcycles within the state following a request by the Honorable member representing Katsina constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon Abubakar Aliyu Albaba.
“Initially, we requested for the ban to be relaxed to 10pm but the Governor suggested for 11pm himself”, Hon Albaba said in a phone call interview with this reporter.
Recall also that the Katsina State government earlier in efforts to curtail the menace of armed banditry, kidnappings and other criminality ban the usage of motorcycles from 7pm to 6am daily all over the state.
