Coalition of Northern Group donate food, water to Katsina IDPs
The Coalition of Northern Group, CNG has donated food items and water worth hundreds of thousands to Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Batsari camp of Katsina State.
The donation of the items was led by the Coalition’s Board of trustee chairman, Nastura Shareef on Saturday who led other leaders of the groups to a sympathy visit to the displaced persons.
During the visit, Mr. Shareef also appealed to the Katsina State Government to ensure speedy disbanding of the IDPs to their ancestral homes to avoid the infiltration of foreign donor agencies with ulterior motives to the camps.
Mr. Shareef also reiterated their call for President Muhammadu Buhari to sack his service chiefs to fave way for new ideas in the fight against bandits and insurgents in the country citing ‘high level of insubordination’ within the Nigerian military circle as biggest reason.
The CNG team had earlier visited the district head of Batsari Tukur Ruma to commiserate with him on the loss of lives and property to bandits in his domain.
The district head had used the occasion to appeal for more support for his people.
