Member representing Mani constituency, Aliyu Sabiu Muduru has called on the state government to provide emergency relief materials to support flood victims in Mani Local Government Area.
Houses, Properties were reportedly destroyed by torrential rainfall in Mani and its environs.
Presenting the motion before the Assembly, Mududru lamented that the torrential rainfall had destroyed many houses and road networks in the area.
He revealed to the house that the “Provision of emergency relief materials would surely alluviate the suffering of the affected victims as a matter urgency.”
The cosponsor of the motion, Member representing Baure constituency, Sani Lawal Baure said “Similar incidence had occurred at Danmoli village of Baure Local Government Area were houses and properties worth thousand of naira were destroyed”.
Also, during the planetary, Member representing Ingawa constituency, Abubakar Sulaiman Tunas appealed for the inclusion of Bareruwa and Ruruwa villages in the provision of the relief materials and other ecological interventions.
The house, however, mandated the Committee on environment to invite officials of the state Ministry of Environment to brainstorm on how to permanently address ecological problems across the state.
