Izala sect links increase in rape cases to continues closure of Islamiyya schools in Katsina
The members of Islamic religious sect, Jama’atul Izalatul bidi’a wa’iqamatussuna, JIBWIS, in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State has expressed their displeasure over the continues closure of Islamiyya schools over COVID-19 pandemic in the State.
In a letter addressed to the leadership of the organization at state level, JIBWIS in Malumfashi called on the state leadership to be boycotting any state government orders if they are in contrast with the teachings of Islam.
In the letter signed by Alhaji Musa Rugoji and Malam Abubakar Bello, they also cited many negative effects the continues closure of the Islamiyya schools is posing on them and their children.
“Because of the continues closure of our Islamiyya schools, our community is witnessing increase in rate of rape cases, drug abuse and thievery among our children.” They said.
