Mahdi’s revelation: Katsina commissioner denies “diversion of security funds”, threatens legal action
The commissioner for Resource Development Katsina State, Mustapha Mahmud Kanti Bello has denied in totality an allegations made against him by Kaduna based businessman, Alhaji Mahdi Shehu indicting him in alleged diversion of state’s security funds.
Katsina Post learnt, Mahdi Shehu in an hour interview with Freedom Radio accused Governor Masari’s government of diverting billions of naira of state’s security funds for “Personal Use” while indicting details including that of Mustapha Kanti Bello.
In the programme, Mahdi claimed the existence of proof that Katsina Government had expended N24billion state’s security funds from 2015-2019.
In a statement via Facebook, Mr. Kanti faulted the claim made against him and the state government said “The allegations is 100% false and baseless “.
Mr. Kanti has also taken steps to institute legal actions against Mahdi Shehu said, “I have directed my legal team to take necessary action against this baseless allegation and attempted defamation of Character.”

My attention has been drawn to an interview granted by one Mahdi Shehu on Freedom Radio Kaduna where he maliciously allege that Security Funds where Shared to various bank accounts including mine.
I Want to categorically state that this allegation is 100% false and baseless. I have directed my legal team to take necessary action against this baseless allegation and attempted defamation of Character.
