Breaking: Katsina corp members on street in protest of nonpayment of allowances
Medical and paramedical Corp members in Katsina State have hit the streets of Katsina metropolis on Wednesday morning in protest of the non payment of their allowances, Katsina Post learned.
The protesters include medical doctors, Pharmacists, Medical Laboratory Scientists, Nurses, Radiographers among others.
The corp members were on the streets of the state chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards with different inscriptions calling on government to pay them their withheld allowances.
The corp members alleged that the Katsina State government have not paid them their allowances since September, 2019.
The protesters were at the Katsina State government House where they were addressed by the Katsina State Commissioner for Health, Engr Nuhu Yakubu Danja.
