Katsina Federal Lawmaker organize Ramadan quiz competition, doll cash, scholarship to winners

The lawmaker representing Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa federal constituency of Katsina State, Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada, has offered cash rewards and lots of prices to winners of his just concluded Ramadan quiz competition, across the three local government areas he is representing.

Kusada’s gesture was aimed at promoting Islamic and western education.

Coordinator of the Quiz Programme, Engr. Ibrahim Sani Yandoma, said, “this is the first and ever online programme organize in the history of our great constituency by the lawmaker, and this is coming from his personal earnings.”

Yandoma, noted that the programme initially began with the weekly quiz, where questions are asked in various fields and winners are rewarded with mouthwatering prizes, including cash donation.

“Due to the significance of the programme and rewards attached to the month of Ramadan, the lawmaker asked us to further extend the competition throughout the the period of Ramadan.

“The organizers of the exercise, who are people of high integrity, performed wonderfully and brilliantly,” he initially said.

Continuing, the Coordinator added: “Two of the winners who happen to be undergraduates were granted scholarships for the duration of their studies.

“Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada have instructed me to inform TASI’U IBRAHIM from Kankia, and ABDULLAHI AHMAD from Kusada that they are entitled for scholarship. The duo are undergraduates students, as such, our leader has decided to award them cash donation in form of scholarships, which is going to cover the duration of studies in school.

“As such, the aforementioned names above should forward their credentials via the email provided for further necessary action,” he added.

While accepting the offer, the beneficiaries thanked Hon. Kusada for the gesture, commending the organizers for ensuring a free, fair and credible process that led to their emergence.
