An Islamic scholar in Katsina metropolis, Sheikh Aminu Abdullahi Yammawa has called on Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State to ease the lockdown order placed on many Local Government Areas of the State to enable residents observe their religious rights in this last ten days of this year’s holy month of Ramadan.

Sheik Yammawa made this call during his daily Tafsir streamed online and seen by Katsina Post.

According to him, the authorities should look into the possibility of easing the lockdown order to allow people to converge in mosques and pray for to Allah since the pandemic continues to rise despite the lockdown.

“Some people can only pray their tahajjud in mosques, if they stay in their homes, they will not pray, so the government should look into the possibility of easing the lockdown order.

“Niger Republic have also announced the suspension of lockdown order for residents to worship their creator in this sacred last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, Nigeria should borrow a leaf from them,” he said.
