Breaking: Joint security personnel seals Daura Emir’s palace over COVID-19
A joint team of security personnel have locked up and sealed the Daura Emir’s palace on Saturday night, Katsina Post learned.
A high government official who pleaded for anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the press confirmed to Katsina Post that about four (4) trucks full of security personnel are currently in front of the Emir’s palace this night.
According to him, the sealing of the palace is connected to the current COVID-19 pandemic in Daura Local Government Area and the unusual death of some members of the traditional institution recently.
However, the Daura Emirate Prince, Danburam of Daura, Alhaji Daha Umar Faruk said the sealing of the palace is connected to the large crowd of people that trooped to the palace to collect Ramadan packages from the Emirate.
“It is true that there was the usual annual distribution of Ramadan packages yesterday which attracted a crowd of people and the Emir was advised to suspend the activity due to the current lockdown in the Local Government Area which he obliged.
