Just In: Katsina State records 9 new cases of COVID-19
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced that laboratory tests have confirmed 87 new cases of coronavirus infections on Saturday, raising Nigeria’s total to 1182, less than two months after the index case was confirmed in Lagos.
222 people have been discharged while thirty-five people have died .
According to the report published by NCDC on its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, 33 cases were confirmed in Lagos, 18 in Borno state, 12 in Osun and 9 in Katsina.
With this development, Katsina State now has a total 30 cases of the COVID-19 patients with 29 active cases and 1 death.
Information regarding the location and addresses of the nine new cases in Katsina State is not readily available as at the time of writing this report.
