Covid-19: Fertilizer blending company in Katsina donate N5m to Katsina State gov’t

A new fertilizer blending company based in Funtua, Greentide Limited, has donated the sum of N5 million to the state government to fight the deadly Corona Virus ravaging the world.

The donation is coming a week after the Resources Mobilization Committee was set up by Katsina State government.

The donation was made known by Permanent Secretary of the Katsina State Ministry of Health, Dr. Kabir Mustafa on behalf of the committee.

Dr. Kabir Mustafa told The Links that the earliest callers were Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal, United Bank for Africa, UBA, Alhaji Salisu Continental, Alhaji Abdu Maigoro, Alhaji Mannir Abukur as well as members of the State Executive Council and the State House of Assembly.

Dr. Kabir noted that since the launching of the appeal fund, many other in individuals and companies have continued to make donation which include a bakery in Katsina, Ummi Bread, Sardaunan Katsina, Alhaji Ibrahim Idah as well as a new fertilizer blending company based in Funtua, Greentide Limited, which donated the sum of N5 million.

Greentide Limited, which is a newly licensed company that is out to create employment and provide assorted fertlizer to farmers in Katsina and neighboring states, was established by a group of young, patriotic indigenes of Katsina State, Engr. Ibrahim Bala Kuki and Attahiru Bala Usman,who seems it fit to also make the handsome donation to the state government’s effort to fight Coronavirus.
