The Katsina State government under the leadership of Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari has directed for the immediate suspension of large gatherings for the purpose of Friday congregational prayers and church services across the State.

This is contained in a statement signed by Kasim Ibrahim Nagari, the Permanent Secretary (Political and Common Services) on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the State.

In the letter of notification seen by Katsina Post dated the 25th of March, 2020, the Permanent Secretary also said that marriage ceremonies should be held in a low key manner.

This, according to the letter is in furtherance of context measures on the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19) by the Katsina State government.

  1. Innalillahi wa’inna ilaihirrajiun! I pray that may this not be another Essence of bringing more hazardous disease to us

  2. We the Muslim are Islamically and Religiously ask to obey our leaders.
So in regards to suspension of large gathering, Friday prayers inclusive.
People should pls ask their religious schoolars within their jurisdiction.
As for told by our Islamic leaders, the major taken in a situations like we are now, it’s really accepted in the sight of Allah.
Masses should know The government is not stopping people to worship their creator, but stopping us to gather craudly for our own safety’s.
Just in order to avoid infection and spreading of the Corona virus that is existing every where in the globe. As it’s a deadly disease with no cure up to date.
And If you pray at home as some of the Ulama says, Allah will give you the same rewards as like praying in the Mosque.
