The High Court of Justice of Katsina State has issued an interim order restraining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state from conducting state congresses.
Katsina Post learned that the court order is a result of a case filed before it by one Bashir Abdullahi Gafia asking the court to restrain the leadership of the party in the state from conducting state congresses pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice before the court.
The order of the court issued by Hon. Justice A. B. Abdullahi dated the 12th of March and seen by Katsina Post also said the party should maintain the status quo pending the hearing of the motion on notice.
The court also adjourned to the 14th of April for hearing.
The PDP State Chairman in Katsina State, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri has not responded to the court order as at the time of filing in this report.
