Katsina gov’t intensify efforts to eliminate quackery in State medical profession
Katsina State Ministry of Health says it has intensified efforts to eliminate quackery in the state medical profession.
The Commissioner for Health Engineer Yakubu Nuhu Danja stated this while inaugurating the State Nursing and Midwifery Committee held in Katsina.
Engineer Nuhu Danja said the ministry would not relent in its efforts until health sector was sanitized for effective service delivery.
The Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Dr Kabir Mustapha urged the committee members to live up to expectation by ensuring that services were rendered by only health professionals.
Earlier, the Chairperson of the Committee and Director Nursing Hajiya Safiya Yamel said the Committee would monitor the activities of public and private hospitals to get rid of quackery across the state.
