Katsina assembly passes law mandating Pri, Sec schools vacation during Ramadan
The Katsina State House of Assembly has passed a bill for a law changing the Calendar of learning for Primary and Secondary Schools in the State.
The bill passed into law now mandates all Primary and Secondary schools to be going on holiday during Ramadan period each year.
The bill was sponsored by the member representing Katsina constituency, Hon. Ali Abu Albaba.
While presenting the bill for the third reading, the House leader, Hon member representing Rimi constituency said the bill is very important especially in a predominantly Muslims state like Katsina.
He also said similar law is already in practice in nearby state of Kano.
After the passage of the bill, the Speaker of the House directed the Clerk of the House to pass a clean copy of bill to the Executive arm for ascent.
