Corp Members Offers Free Medical Treatment To 170 Katsina
The National Youth Service Corp ( NYSC), has carried out free medical outreach to 170 residents of Modaji village in Katsina State.
The corp members, who were from the medical team/ Red Cross Community Development Service (CDS), treated the residents of different illnesses ranging from malaria, typhoid, eye problems among others.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the state coordinator of NYSC in the state, represented by the schedule officer and the head of corps welfare, Mr Okoliko Daniel, urged the communities to create an enabling environment for corp members to carry out community orientation projects that would benefit their people, adding that NYSC would continue sponsoring projects that would benefit the people of the state.
Earlier, the leader of the group, Dr Jonathan Manulu, disclosed that the drugs used were sourced from the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) , Katsina State and other donors, adding that apart from the treatment, about 150 mosquito – treated nets were given to the people.
