Just In: Bandits reportedly sends note to Katsina village, asked for N1m to avert attack
Suspected bandits have reportedly sent a notice of attack note to Akata village in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State notifying them of their intention to launch attack on them, Katsina Post learned.
In the note, the bandits, however, gave the villagers option to pay them the sum of N1m to avert the attack.
Reports reaching Katsina Post also indicate that the villagers had reportedly started contributing the money to save themselves from the bandits attack.
Residents of the community are contributing N1,500 per head according to local sources.
When contacted to comment on the issue, the Katsina State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Gambo Isah said the police are investigating the issue and that they will not leave any stone unturned.
