Katsina State Police command has succeeded in arresting one Usman Muhammad, a 200 level student of Federal College of Education Katsina SOS department for robbery and attempted murder.
Parading the Suspect at the Police Headquarters Katsina, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isa told KATSINA POST that the suspect along with two others was intercepted with the stolen KEKE NAPEP along Katsina-Kano road after stabbing the owner with a knife.
The suspects were said to have disguised as builders, hired NAPEP to convey them to Arabian quarters, developing area behind federal secretariat Katsina before committing the offense.
According to him, the two other suspects abandoned the NAPEP attempted to escape but caught and mercilessly beaten by passengers before the arrival of police, which however led to their death due to the sustained injuries.
SP Gambo further revealed that the KEKE NAPEP rider has survived the incidence and currently receiving treatment at General Hospital Katsina.
Similarly, the command has also paraded one Umar Bala of Kukar Gesa Quarters Katsina, 40-year-old ex-army personnel for alleged kidnap threat, Habibu Sani of Mahuta village for kidnap threat to one businessman in Funtua.
Other paraded suspects include 20-year-old Umar Sale, Sani Ado, 27, and Akilu Hashimu all from Dikke Village in Funtua Local Government for alleged cattle rustling.
