Governor Masari commends Zenith Bank for renovating primary school in Musawa
Governor Aminu Bello Masari has commended the Zenith Bank Katsina branch for renovating and equipping classrooms, staff office of Usman Liman Primary School Musawa in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Masari, represented by the Executive Secretary SUBEB, Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura gave the commendation during the official handover of the renovated facility to the school by the officials of the Bank.
He said, “This gesture by Zenith Bank is commendable, the state government is aware of your contributions in the field of education. And today we are commissioning school renovation project to aim to further enhance the quality of education in Katsina state,”
Earlier, The Branch Manager of the bank, Alhaji Aminu Abba Ali, said that it was in fulfillment of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility philosophy, which focuses mostly on education and social welfare.
He said the bank strived to strengthen education in the state, which according to him is the key to the finding sustainable development of any nation.
According to him, the bank renovated block of six classrooms, equipped the facility with modern board, 180 number of seats for both nursery and primary students, 45 tables for nursery sections, staff desk, cupboard and chairs amongst others.
Abba further revealed that Zenith Bank in Katsina has embarked on many related activities, which include offering scholarships to students, distribution of writing materials, organizing of schools competition among others.
While speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Katsina, Hajia Halima Lawal Othman commended the effort of the bank noting that development of education is the topmost priority of Governor Masari.
Amongst those present during the ceremony include Zenith Bank zonal heads, Muhammad Balori and Drr. Sani Yahaya, Officials of Zenith Bank Katsina branch, Katsina Government officials, Politicians, School teachers among others.
