Gov Masari warns Katsina politicians against campaigning for 2023 elections
Governor Aminu Masari remind politicians that it is not yet time for campaign for the 2023 general elections.
He warned that any further display of posters by agents of the politicians will not be tolerated by government.
Governor Masari made this known on Thursday evening when he launched the disbursement of scholarship to 1292 students in Zango.
The scholarship was provided to the students by the speaker of katsina state house of assembly Alhaji Tasi’u Musa Maigari Zango.
At a colourful ceremony in Zango, Governor Aminu Bello Masari commended the foresight of the donour for the support to the students of tertiary educational institutions from his constituency.
The Governor explained that there was no better way to improve the condition of the people than to properly educate them.
In a remark, the donour and speaker of katsina state house of assembly Alhaji Tasi’u Musa Zango explained that the scholarship was meant to be utilize by the beneficiaries to rededicate themselves to study hard for the development of the area.
He assured that he would continue to support the students from Zango within the means at his disposal.
The chairman of the scholarship selection committee,an educationist, Alhaji Mustapha Zango said 1292 students were selected for the Programme.
Highlight of the ceremony was the flag off of the disbursement of the scholarship by the Governor, the speaker and the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar.
