Security operatives demolish house use in hiding kidnapped victims in Katsina
A joint security operation led by the Nigeria Police in Katsina State has demolished a house being used by bandits in hiding their kidnapped victims in Gwarjo village, Matazu Local Government, Katsina State.
This is coming shortly after the Katsina State government has directed security operatives to demolish houses of bandits terrorizing communities in the state.
The spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, disclosed this to journalists in Gwarjo forest of Matazu Local Government during the enforcement of the law in the area on Thursday.
In the process, two suspected kidnappers were arrested by a joint security patrol at Gwarjo village in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina.
The suspect; Abdullahi Rabiu and Isa Rabiu, were reportedly apprehended in the forest with two Dane guns and some locally made ammunitions.
The spokesman of the police command, Gambo Isah, said the suspects would be moved to the command headquarters for further investigation.
He said the visit to the forest was to demolish a structure used in hiding kidnapped victims, noting that security personnel were not relenting in the fight against banditry and other criminalities in the state.
