NBA Funtua Branch mourns Justice I M Bako, says Katsina lost finest, incorruptible jurists
The Funtua Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association received the shocking news of the demise of late Hon. Justice I M Bako on Sunday, according to a statement by the branch Chairman, Barr. Abdullahi Barau Faskari.
According to the statement, “the death of Justice I M Bako is a huge loss not only to his immediate and extended families but to the nation’s judicial system and the Bar.
“The Bar and system will surely miss him. The late justice is one of the finest and incorruptible jurists the State judiciary is banking on.
“Recently NBA Funtua Branch gave late Justice Bako outstanding judge award, due to his incorruptible posture, hardworking and unequal dedication to quick dispensation of Justice in Nigeria.
“NBA Funtua Branch is finding it difficult to come to terms that Justice Bako is no more ,we however takes solace in the sober reflection of the late Justice by even the commoners in the streets and the volumes of encomiums of excellence, dedication, good conducts, patience and sense of Justice he receives from his brother judges, lawyers and members of the public who had reason to meet with him, read his judgements or even heard about him.
“The death of Justice Bako has left a big vacuum in the state judiciary which may be difficult to fill in. We thank members of the Bar, various NBA branch chairmen in the federation and members of the public who came or called to sympathise with Branch.”
