Three top list as Gov Masari shops for new Pilgrims Board ES
At least three names are now being considered by the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari as a replacement for the sacked Executive Secretary, Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Katsina Post can report.
The names of the people being considered by the Governor, according to our multiple sources who pleaded for anonymity are the former member who represented Malumfashi constituency and now Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative matters, Hon. Abdullahi I. Mahuta.
The others are former Katsina gubernatorial candidate and now a chieftain of the APC, Alhaji Umar Tata, and former gubernatorial aspirant, Col (Rt) Abdulaziz Musa ‘Yar’adua.
Recall that in September, the Governor relieved the Pilgrims Welfare Board and the Executive Secretary of the board of their duties.
Moreover, recently the Governor while speaking when he received the 2019 Hajj report said the government dissolved the state pilgrims’ welfare board and sacked its executive secretary after a report revealed “under dealing and racketeering” in collusion with service providers in Saudi Arabia.
