The suspects are Shu’aibu Usman, 40, from the Yar Komura village; Surajo Kabir, 40, from the Dallaje village; and Abu Ibrahim, 40, from the Doro village.

The three villages are in the Bindawa Local Government Areas of the state.

The spokesman for the state command of the agency, Mustapha Maikudi, confirmed the arrest to journalists in Katsina on Thursday.

According to him, Usman was arrested with 79kg of cannabis sativa, while Kabir was apprehended with 1.250kgs of the same substance.

The third suspect, Ibrahim, according to Maikudi, was arrested with 103 grams of the same substance.
