Engr Nura Khalil partners UAE to construct 1 Million affordable houses, other project in Nigeria
A renowned politician, Engineer Nura Khalil, the three-time Governorship candidate, and well-known Katsina indigene has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Arab Emirate to constructs affordable one million houses and to provide additional 5,000MW of electricity to the national grid.
Katsina Post yesterday, reliably gathered the arrival of the technical and development partners from UAE and China to some of the proposed site for the takeoff of the proposed Nigeria Affordable mass Housing Program (NAMHP) in Abuja, which would also, covered all other states of the federation.
Our correspondent also gathered that Engineer Nura Khalil initiated the Programme not in any connection with Federal Government as speculated earlier.
Recalled that on 24th October, Engr. Nur Khalil signed a Framework Contract Agreement 17 Billion USD for the Nigeria Affordable Mass Housing Program and Renewable Energy Development Programme held at Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Renewable Energy Programme is to provide additional 5,000 MW of electricity from solar power to the national grid while the NAMHP is expected to provide one million housing units at an average of 100,000 houses every year in the next ten years to bridge the housing deficit in Nigeria, which currently stands at twenty-two million.
Engr Nura Khalil is a Proficient in Program and Project Management, Highway Design, Construction and Management, Pavement Management, Distress Evaluation, Rehabilitation Design, Asphalt Recycling, Asset Management and Team Building.
His specialties include Program and Project Management Highway Design and Construction Structural Design of Buildings and Hydraulic Structures Pavement Distress Evaluation and Rehabilitation Design Cold in Place Recycling and Hot in Place Recycling Transportation Asset Management Construction Management and Administration.
