Bill For Federal College of Agriculture, Malumfashi passes second reading
The Bill for an Act to Provide for Establishment of the Federal College of Agriculture, Malumfashi; and for Related Matters has passed Second Reading on the floor of the House of Representatives, Katsina Post learnt.
The Bill, which was presented before the House earlier by the Honorable Ibrahim Babangida, member representing Malumfashi/Kafur was deliberated on the floor of the House today.
During today’s plenary, Rep. Babangida moved for the second reading of the Bill and it was seconded by Rep. Segun Odebunmi.
Rep. Babangida stated that the region is in dire need of the College of Agriculture as a means of providing the required knowledge, as well as to ensure the application of improved technological inputs in the agricultural sector for individuals in the region is met.
As an establishment Bill, it was voted on, passed for second reading and referred to the Committee on Tertiary Education.
