Breaking: Court of Appeal dismiss Lado’s election petition against Masari
The Court of Appeal in Kaduna has dismissed the election petition filed by Senator Yakubu Lado and Katsina State PDP against Aminu Bello Masari, Katsina State APC and INEC.
Katsina Post learnt that all the five judges who presided over the case delivered a unanimous judgment dismissing the case.
Recall that Katsina Post earlier reported to you that the court will deliver the judgment today.
It could be recall that the judges began hearing of the case on Tuesday.
After hearing the arguments from both the petitioners and defense counsels on that day, adjourned to a later date to be communicated to both parties.
Senator Lado and PDP are challenging the victory of Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari in the 2019 general election.
Recall that in September, the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Katsina State on in the FCT Abuja has upheld the election of Katsina State Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari and dismissed PDP’s petition challenging his victory in the 2019 polls by two out of the three judges.
