The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has discharged 987 corps members, extended the services of four and ordered four to repeat their service years.
The sanctioned corps members were from the 2018 Batch C Stream 2 that just rounded off their service year in the state.
According to a statement signed by the spokesman for the NYSC in Katsina, Mr Alex Oboemeta, 987 corps members in the batch were discharged after completing their service year in the state.
The statement added that five outstanding corps members were given state honours for their “excellent and dedicated service to their fatherland.”
In his remarks, the state NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya, enjoined the corps members to use the lessons learnt during their service year for the good of the society
