Katsina State now swims in N88bn domestic, foreign debt – Report
The Katsina State Government is now strangled with a combined foreign and domestic debt of no fewer than N88bn as of June 2019, according to a recent report released by the Debt Management Office.
According to the document containing the data of the domestic debt of all the 36 States and the FCT, Katsina State is owing N66,164,163,901.64.
On the other hand, the data also showed that Katsina State is owing $61,082,288.27 as external debt.
Katsina Post, however, computes that the $61,082,288.27 is equivalent to N21.9bn at N360/$1 exchange rate.
