Protest erupts as police rescue hundreds of chained persons from a ‘rehabilitation centre’ in Daura
Residents of Daura metropolis in Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State had today embarked on a mini protest against an alleged rehabilitation centre of one Malam Bello Mai Almajirai over what they termed as a clear case of violation of human rights therein.
The incidence started when some of the persons in the rehabilitation centre escaped from the house and ran into the town.
Those that escaped narrated how they were being maltreated in the house and that sparked public anger against the Malam and which culminated into a protest.
