Meet Ukashatu ‘Ajuba’ – the new Governor Masari’s S. A. on ‘Modern Singers’
On the 3rd October 2019, Governor Aminu Bello Masari through the office of the Secretary to the Government of the State, Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa and in a letter, appointed one Ukashatu Suleiman as Special Assistant to the Governor on Modern Singers.
As expected, mixed reactions trailed the appointment with many people criticizing it and many others especially singers and his circle of friends and relatives applauding it.
Katsina Post made some checks on the person at the center of it, Ukashatu Suleiman and found the following:
That Ukashatu Suleiman who himself is an indegent of Katsina State, is also popularly known as ‘Ajuba’ among his peers and associates.
Ajuba, together with his associates created an association they called ‘Masari Modern Singers Association’ during the first tenure of Governor Aminu Bello Masari with the aim of promoting him and his government policies.
The association, which has her secretariat in Katsina metropolis along Kofar Durbi – Old Government House roundabout, met with the Governor and some government officials several times and they were supported by the government.
The association also was at the center of the campaign team of Governor Masari’s re-election and was seen with the team in all the 34 local governments of the state during the period.
Katsina Post checks also found out that the association produced many songs for the Governor.
