“Katsina APC members in Abuja sponsoring Lado’s case against Masari”

The leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina State has alleged that some APC members from the State residing in Abuja are the people sponsoring the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their gubernatorial candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado in 2019 general election in their legal battle with the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari.

This allegation was made by the Funtua Zonal Vice-Chairman of the APC in the State, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa while addressing the congregation of thirty-four local government chairmen and secretaries of the APC during a meeting with the Governor and other party stakeholders at government house council chambers on Friday.

Alhaji Bala Musawa said they were surprised that in spite of the transparent nature of the 2019 general elections in Katsina state, the opposition People’s Democratic party-PDP went ahead and filed a petition at the tribunal.

The APC vice-chairman in Funtua Zone told the gathering that the leadership of the party now had clear proofs that the petition was sponsored by the APC members residents in Abuja, whom he said instigated the PDP to file the petition as they against the person of the Governor.

He, therefore, announced plans by the APC leaders to dismiss or suspend the APC members from Abuja that perpetrated the connivance with PDP to file the petition.

On insecurity in the state, Alhaji Bala Abubakar Musawa said the party in the state was happy with the Governor for the steps taken in the peace deal with leaders of the suspected bandits that culminated in the relative peace in the eight Frontline local governments in the state.
