Katsina United embark on pre-season tour ahead of 2019/2020 season
‘The Changi Boys’ under the new chairman Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi are set to embark on their first pre-season tour ahead of 2019/2020 NPFL season as they trade tackles with a Nigeria National League side Kada City FC later this evening at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
Coach Henry Makinwa boys have played four friendly matches thus far since they started their prep ahead of the new NPFL season and won all.
They defeated convincingly the likes of Rarara FC, Samba FC, Funtua Sharks FC and Dadinkowa Football Academy at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
This match against Kada City will be their first match away from home since the advent of new chairman and coach, Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi and Henry Makinwa respectively.
Coach Henry Makinwa who is still trying to make the players blend with his philosophy has picked twenty-eight players to prosecute this mouth-watering encounter against Kada City.
Key players like Eric Gwammy, Danjuma Paul, Sherif Bashir, Musa Suleman (Ronaldo), Suleman Ibrahim and midfield trojan Destiny Ashadi will all miss this clash due to injuries.
However, new signing Gambo Muhammed, skipper of the side Usman Barau, Lukman Muhammed, Yushau Garba, Frank Kappe, Tsawanya Samuel, Faisal Sani, Isah Abdurahaman are part of the old players that made the 28-man cut.

On their first pre-season tour game against Kada City in Kaduna, coach Makinwa said.
“I think it’s a very good one for us. We have been playing at home and winning, now is the time to go out and show to the people outside Katsina State that the games we won at home are not flukes.
“I must commend the management under the leadership of Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi for organising this match. He has been very supportive and working hard to ensure that the team gets their rhythm before the commencement of the new NPFL season that is imminent.

Katsina United are expected to play two games in Kaduna State before moving to Minna for some other pre-season friendly games and eventually return to the Pyramid city of Kano to participate in the ‘Third edition of the Ahlan Pre-season Tournament’ that is bid to kick-off 6th October, 2019.
