Tribunal Judgment: It’s too early to start celebrating – Katsina PDP to Masari, APC supporters

The State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Katsina State, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri has called on the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari and his supporters not to start celebrating the judgment of the Tribunal court that upheld his victory on Saturday.

Hon. Salisu who commended the chairperson of the tribunal, Justice Hadiza Jos for her courage in her minority judgment in their favor also explained that there are two more courts ahead of them and they are optimistic that they will all win in those courts.

“Tribunal court is the first court that entertains such petitions and even if all the judges deliver judgment in our behalf, Governor Masari and APC will still appeal it and most likely up to the Supreme court.

“So the fact that we came to the court as just petitioners but now with a judgment is surely an achievement which we will argue on in the court of appeal.

“In the court of appeal, we will meet five judges and if we were able to get the majority judgment, we won the case and then finally we will proceed to the Supreme court were seven judges will deliver the final judgment on the petition,” he said.

He also added that the fact that people came to power because of the provisions of the constitutions, that also means that the provisions in the constitutions can remove anybody from power because it is supreme and must be respected.
