The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has commended Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari on the improved security in the state following his dialogue with bandits.
The President of the Association, Mr. Danielson Akpan made the commendation during a press conference at the NUJ secretariat in Katsina.
According to him, NANS have been in the state for 4 days to inspect projects executed by the present administration in the state and from what they have seen during the tour of the three senatorial districts in the state, the state is peaceful and secured.
’’I want to state quite frankly, we have visited the three senatorial districts in the state, we didn’t notice pandemonium, and from what we have seen during this visit, there is peace now in the state and considering the way he has reached out to the bandits, peace has returned to Katsina State.” He said
Recalled that the Katsina State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) had hold prayer sessions in mosques and churches over the spate of banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges in the state.
The prayer session is part of activities planned for the celebration NUJ’s Media Week, which commenced on Friday and ends on Monday this week.
