Just In: Katsina gov’t offer Secondary School for take off of Federal Poly, Daura

Reports reaching us at Katsina Post has it that a temporary site has been secured for the take off of the Federal Polytechnic Daura in Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The place secured temporarily for the take off of the Polytechnic is the Government Day Secondary School.

Also numerous hectors of land located behind NTA, Daura has been secured for the permanent site of the Polytechnic.

Recall that Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has emphasized that any federal institution wishing to take over state institution must be ready to fully compensate the state government when he received the chairman and members of the committee for the take off of Federal Polytechnic, Daura on a courtesy call at government house, Katsina.

The Governor explained that the state government is currently facing shortage of resources and cannot afford to be donating infrastructures to the federal government inspite of its might in resources control.

Masari however commended officials of the federal ministry of education for the prompt response to establish the federal polytechnic some few months after assenting to the Bill by president Muhammad Buhari.

He assured that the state government would cooperate with the committee for the proposed federal polytechnic, Daura.

He therefore informed chairman and members of the committee that the state government had directed officials of the state ministry of lands and the state surveyor general for the proper take off of the new institution.
