FG to establish Federal Fire Service Training School in Kankia, Katsina State
The Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of a North-West Federal Fire Service Training School in Katsina State.
Katsina Post gathered that this was achieved as a result of efforts made by the Senator representing Daura zone in the Senate, Senator Ahmed Babba.
Already, the Minister, Ministry of Interior, Alh. Rauf Aregbesola has given node to the project and is expected to kick start soonest.
In line with his agenda to speed-up development in the State, Governor Masari has accepted the proposal and approved the establishment and siting of the proposed Fire Service Training School in the state, specifically in Kankia town.
Governor Masari also pledged the commitment of the State Government to support and nurse the institution to maturity in the shortest possible time.
Recall that a team led by Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. Sunny Echono, was in Katsina to convey to Katsina State Government approval for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Daura and inform the State of the setting up of a 10-man committee to ensure the speedy take-of the Polytechnic.
