Katsina gov’t distribute N14m worth of learning materials to 7 schools
Katsina Government is determined to boost technical and vocational education in the State.
This was expressed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Hajiya Halima Lawal Othman at the distribution of technical material and equipment to seven selected secondary schools offering technical subjects.
The Permanent Secretary represented by the Director Quality assurance of the Ministry Alh Zayyana Zubairu Aliyu.
The Perm Sec disclosed that over N14million was expended to procure assorted equipment and material for technical and vocational education and in the selected Schools.
She urged the benefiting Schools to make judicious use of the equipment for the purpose they were meant for.
Earlier the zonal Coordinator of education quality assurance Katsina Alh. Nasiru Kado Shinkafi in a vote of thanks, appreciated the effort of Katsina Government for providing the equipment and materials and said they will go a long way in assisting the technical Students in acquiring technical know how and learn vocational skills to be self reliant in the long run.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of the materials to the benefiting schools by the representative of the Perm Sec.
The Schools are:
1) Dikko College Katsina
2) GDSS K/Yandaka
3) GUSS Malumfashi
4) SUNCAIS Katsina
5) GPSS Daura
6) GPSS Mani
7) GPSS Funtua.
