Emir of Daura conferred President of Guinea with traditional title
The Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Farouq Umar had conferred a traditional title of ‘Talban-Daura’ to the President of Guinean, Professor Alpha Condé.
During the turbaning ceremony in Daura on sallah day, the monarch said the decision of the Daura emirate council to honour Condé is because of his love for their Emirate son in person of President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigeria in general.
The Emir also said that the council has approved the conferment of the title in recognition of Conde’s style of leadership and maintaining the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Guinea.
While speaking at the event, President Muhammadu Buhari represented by Governor Aminu Bello Masari, lauded the emir of Daura for conferring the traditional title on Mr. Conde.
