FMC Katsina dismisses 3 staff for collecting money from patients
The management of Federal Medical Center, Katsina, has dismissed no fewer than three of their staff for collecting money illegally from patients.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Administration of the hospital, Mr Abdurrahman Samaila, Katsina on Monday and made available to newsmen.
According to him, the three people were dismissed after proper investigation.
Samaila said the management was deeply concerned about the attitude of some of the staff and had taken measures to protect patients.
The official warned those who may contemplate engaging in such acts to desist from doing so, as anyone caught will be summarily dismissed.
On his part, the Chief Medical Director of the Tertiary hospital, Dr. Suleiman Bello said that the hospital has introduced electronic health record system to check similar problems as all payments are now linked to the system.
