I was pushed to run for House of Reps, I was not ready – Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad

The Member representing Daura/Mai’adua/Sandamu Federal constituency, Honourable Fatuhu Muhammad has narrated how he was ‘pushed’ by his constituency to run for the political office he is currently holding.

Hon. Fatuhu made this revelation in an interview with Daily Trust correspondents.

Below is the excerpt of his reply when he was asked what inspired him to contest for House of Representatives seat.

Daily Trust: What inspired you to contest for the House of Representatives seat from Daura?

Mohammed: I did not. I’m a full-time public servant. I worked at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for almost nine years.

I was a banker before joining the commission. What happened was through my foundation, the Fatuhu Foundation, these are some of the records I can show you (records of philanthropic interventions).

This is what inspired people to push me to run for this post. I was not ready, actually thinking that I still have some time in the civil service or public service.

But I have no choice, I gave it a try and it paid.
