Katsina State Government has reaffirmed its readiness to continually partner with the State chapter of the NLC towards safeguarding integrity and welfare of workers in the State.

The head of the civil service office the State Alh Idris Usman Tune gave the assurance when he received the new State Executives of the NLC on a familiarazation visit in his office.

Alh Idris Usman Tune said his office as the apex cordinating center of the affairs of the State workforce would not relent in discharging it’s duties in facilitating the progress and development of the workers as well as the good people of the State.

He said Governor Aminu Masari led administration has been up and doing to meet it’s commitments with the workers and therefore urged the NLC to ensure quality delivery of service on the part of it’s members.

The head of the civil service explained that government always looked up to the workers for successful implementation of it’s people orientated policies and programmes .

He therefore assured the new leadership of the NLC his support and readiness to sustained the cordial relationship that was alredy established with their predecessors.

Earlier, the new NLC chairman, Comrade Hussaini Hamisu said they were in the HOS office familiarazation visit.

He seized the opportunity to appreciate the Governor’s foresight for the on going disbursement of refurbishing loans to all categories of workers in the State.

This and other incentives he said have came timely when workers and other businesses that defend solely on the patronage of the civil sevants were yearning for government’ intervention.

He also commended the Governor for sustaining prompt payment of salaries, pension and the sustainable arrangements for the settlement of gratuity to retirees.

Comrade Hussaini Hamisu also lauded the Masari’s Administration in the areas of regular promotion and replacement exercise especially in the key sectors.

He however urged the government to assist umbrella of all workers union, the NLC to have a befitting secretariat in the State.

The comrade noted that even in the States that were created far behind Katsina, they have permanent labour offices from where the NLC chapters coordinate the workers related affairs.
